Smart Finder tags are the 3rd generation of object finders using Bluetooth Low Energy technology to locate objects up to 50 meters (164 feet) directly from your smart phone with Bluetooth 4.0. Smart Finder app works with the Smart Finder tags to implement Find-Me and Virtual Leash services.
The Find-Me function is great to locate easily misplaced objects such as keys, wallets, purses, remote controls, canes and umbrellas, etc.
The Virtual Leash function ties your Smart Finder tag attached object to your iPhone. Alerts will be sounded if the two are separated at a distance on the iPhone, the Smart Finder tag or both. The Virtual Leash is perfect in situations such as keeping any eye on your valuables when traveling or to keep track of your kids or pets from wondering off.
Note: When the connection to Smart Finder tag is lost in Virtual Leash mode, the app uses GPS in the background to memorize the location of the missing Smart Finder tag. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
